    Yes, if your arm is no longer warm, red and swollen then you are probably safe. Not all cellulitis is infectious. Some is just inflammatory and will get better with conservative measures (elevation, ice, etc).

    To answer another question, untreated cellulitis can lead to abscess or worse -- a necrotizing soft tissue infection which translated means that the skin and fat underneath it dies and must be debrided (cut out).

    Oh sure, it's fun for me... but you don't want that...

    Be meticulous with your injections and good luck.

    yeah, if the symptoms are all gone. Most of these cases like yours usually resolve on their own I think. Just be sure to be extra careful in the future with trying to keep everything sterile.

    I've had exactly the same thing after a delt test-e injection
    over the last couple of days.
    My doctor gave me Keflex and said that it would be obvious
    if it would fight the infection after about a twelve hour period.
    The redness and swelling continued to progress outside the
    area that she marked and so today I was given an injection
    and a second antibiotic to take. So Jerol, what's the next step
    if this doesn't kill the infection?
