    My Home Gym

I've seen various threads about home gyms and what not, so I thought I would post up some pictures of my home gym. Most of the components that I own is by Parabody. I chose the rectangular chassis that you'll see because I figured it would be more versatile than a Smith machine type structure. It has a built in lat pull down, a lower rowing cable, dip attachments, pull up bar, calve raises, and an adjustable frame for other exercises. I can even use my olympic rings on this thing by attaching them to the pull up bar (used to be a gymnast). The bench seat is not attached so I can move it wherever I want to. The bench includes an extension for leg and ham curls. I also bought the attachable preacher curl extension that is really comfortable. I've also got an independent sit up device, dumbells ranging from 5 - 80lbs, a 350lbs barbell set, and every possible attachment that I could need. I recently purchased the trap bar that you'll see. It's not as good as I thought it would be for doing shrugs (grips are too wide for me), but I've discovered a lot of different things that I can do with it. My fav is using it as a shoulder press.

The eliptical machine that I've got is greatness. It's a Kettler Mondeo and it ran me $1300.00. It now has 500 miles on it and it's still as smooth as the day that I put it together. I initially bought a Tunturi eliptical, but took it back within the first two weeks of owning it. Lets just say it was a piece of junk. My advice to anyone that is looking for an eliptical machine for their home is to be sure to get one that is equipment with ball bearing wherever there is a moving part. The cheaper machines will come with cheap bushings that will wear pretty quickly and will become very noisy as did the Tunturi machine.

My total spend for my home gym was about $3500.00. I do not miss the public gyms at all. The only downfall is that I wish I had more room for more leg equipment.
