I personally thought it was horrible. It was less than a 1/4 training/fighting, and it was a draw. Plus, there was no buildup for the fight. It was just a "ok lets fight I guess..".
All that (minus the horrible part) is completely true. Apparently you were expecting too much, finales are not like intermediaries (movies between the first and last). They are focused on closure, and this one did a VERY good job of providing that between Rock and Paulie, he and his son, he and the game/ring/beast (the stuff in the basement), and with the loss of Adrian. But most of all it gave closure to the fans...that final good-bye if you will, as symbolized in the closing scene with the frozen grasp of a spectators hand.
For these reason and more, I thought it was quite good.
Thanks for all the memories, and so long Rock!

Yeah that's true I suppose. I guess I'll have to watch Rocky 4 one hundred times to get my motivation back from him!
i thought the fight scenes were very creatively shot!!!! the use of black and white film was awesome!!!
One of the best movies i have ever seen
Wait a second, am I retarded? I just saw the fight tonight and the vote was 2 judges 95/94 mason and 1 judge 95/94 Rocky.
I was under the impression Mason won.
The movie was awesome imo. I knew beforehand the movie was suppose to be more centered on life than fighting. There were some great speeches, and although it started a little slow it def rocked the last Rocky.
That's accurate, they said "...and still heavy champion of the world Mason "The Line" Dixon".Originally Posted by Bojangles69
As for speeches, you had to love it when Rock turned Public Defender on the boxing board.![]()
It wasn't eloquent, but it was effective.
