You all know how I've been considering looking into the Armed Forces... The Marines and Coast Guard are my two top choices... Now my concern is I "used" to have ADHD... Now I know that doesn't exclude you from service but being on medication does... Now I stopped taking medication, I believe middle of my Sophomore or Junior year of highschool and I've been fine ever since (I have a 3.4 in college)... Anyways I read how the Navy would accept you having been off for medication for 6 months but I'm not sure of the others... Now another thing... I went into the Coast Guard Recruiting place about a year ago and talked with a recruiter... He told me that because I had taken the medication that I was automatically exempt from joining the Coast Guard... Now it had been a year since I took the medication and I was really bummed out about not... Question is to all you Armed Forces guys, do you think I should go back, be a little more forward with the guy, It's been about 3 years since I've taken medication and all my symptoms are gone from ADHD... I just don't wana get shot down again!
