Gears of War and Call of Duty 4 are 2 of my favorites for modern day games and i can not wait till Gears 2 this fall!! i have all 3 of the new systems and the xbox 360 gets the most play by far.

i love all the classics, especially the old nintendo games, any Mario game is great.

The games of yesterday were MILES better than games today, lets see if anyone remembers these old classics. Taito did some great games back in the day.

Shadow of the Beast and Another World deserve HUGE worthy mentions. At the time they had absolute state of the art graphics, gameplay, sound as well as "new" graphical capabilities, like paralax scrolling, which was basically when background objects and sceanary moved at different speeds to something moving in the fore-ground, which at the time was deemed impossible in video games. They were some of the first games to feature animated intros and mini in-game movies also. Best formats of those two games were done on the Amiga (as shown in the pics). Another brilliant game was the original Dungeon Keeper on the PC by Bullfrog.

    HELL, it was like..
if u take Zelda A link to the past(the snes) version and multiplied it by 10 because of all the cool shit combos and abilties of the multipile characters and groups

-then multiplied it by 10 again because of all the interactive/variable shit u could do (going back n' forward in time and changing present and past)

-then another 10 because of all the crazy replay value and ubering up ur characters since they could keep their items from the previous game and keep (after many HOURS of play) getting that 1 uber rainbow armor/helmut item/sunglasses for another character..

-and another 10 because of the incredible story line + the fact you get Magus the EVIL guy to join ur side

-and finly multiply it by a final factor of 10 for the bagillion different ways to beat the game yielding different endings you get..
    like..
zelda times 100,000 AND they are of the same time frame.
HELL it was better than FF3 (6japanese version) w/ a bagilliion times better replayability

NOTE: i had to bold the 10's and break up the paragraph so i could do the math.. something bout 10x10x10x10x10 confused the fux outta me.
i still have my snes and 2 chrono trigger games but i just use the SNES Emu so i can use game geneie cheats so much easier(lost one.. bought another then found the old one LOL i was one of those impractical kids growing up)

    Does anyone remember "Wizardry"?

Man I played that forever back in the 80's!

It's also the first video game I ever cheated at, with a hex editor you could edit the scenario diskette to give yourself unlimited money!
