Lol, no, inserting a personal experienced doesn't make me biased, it just adds a little spice, there is a thing called impartiality, but really, this is a steroid forum, so who here isn't going to be biased about something that can potentially hinder gains

Let me point out a thing or two:
1)First methamphetamine is a stimulant, not a narcotic.
    2)Its definitely not poisonous
3)Its a prescription drug, often given to kids.

If you want gyno and poor gains, yes go ahead and drink!!!!!!!!!! But alcohol does influence your hormonal system A LOT. I thought most people knew that.

they do know it....but when they're addicted to alcohol it's a competing desires thing and they'll try to rationalize how it's not "that bad"

I stand by exactly what i said above......simply RETARDED.
Now I am not advocating drinking on cycle but on the other hand I don't see how using AAS is considered a healthy lifestyle. Many of these hormones are far harder on your body than the occasional night out drinking. I am sure 8 weeks of tren will do a lot more to you than a night out with some booze over the long term. Juice is cool but don't try and hide under a BS healthy lifestyle facade.

Your on a steroid website and your calling someone a meathead, priceless!

Seriously if your going to be serious enough to use AAS then quit the alcohol. Easy as that.

I only agree to a certain point.

While using AAS you also have an off period where your body takes time to recover. Either way tho your lifestyle is healthy, eating healthy, staying in the gym, 8hours of rest per night, etc...

While most go out drinking every weekend, eat like shit the whole time and by the time they are 40 they are seriously overweight and are weathered so bad they look like they are 50. Its sad really, so yes it is a healthier lifestyle and a lifestyle most americans "want" but cannot achieve due to the lack of desire to get off their ass and change because its "too hard".

I would def. keep drinking to off cycle and keep it minimal. I know people who did stop drinking while on cycle but as soon as they were off they were back out gettin wasted every weekend and all gains made on cycle just went down the shitter. its a game you have to keep up with otherwise you loose.

Well I agree somewhat too. But it's hard to compare. Let's face it, a lot of what we do isn't so "healthy", even weight training, when a powerlifter attempt a 700lbs deadlift or squat, can it really be considered healthy in the long run? Probably not. But at least you're trying to achieve something. Drinking, smoking, recreational on the other hand are instant satisfaction. I'm not saying that I never did it, but once I realized we had to drink in order to have fun when we went out weekends after weekends, or we would get bored out of our freaken minds... I stopped altogether. And I'm happy it was well before juice.

Nowadays if I'm going to put something "unhealthy" in my body, it better gives me some benefits. Not saying AAS are OK, but AAS with healthy lifestyle will always be better than AAS mixed with alcohol, lack of sleep and recreational drugs. That's when you start seeing people die, do some crazy stuff or have serious illness and then they blame it all on steroids alone...

If you must get a buzz, why not just get a script for valium and drop 20 or 30 mg on the weekend.

I've read of more than 1 Mr.O that has a couple beers on the weekend. This all boils down to moderation, plain and simple. The exact same arguement can be made for caffine, ephedrine, clen, dnp, ect. If no-ones won this agruement in the last 2000 years then wtf makes you think it will be won here, lets move on already

    i disagree wiht u chuck

    when i drink,
the next day i wake up, and i look smaller, i feel drained, and then i dont go to the gym...simply as that...and it created itself into a bad habit, where id drink friday, be tired, and grumpy saturday, which is when i was supposed to hit the gym, and then i wouldnt go, making it hard for me to gain

as soon as i stopped that i started making DRASTIC gains

I started to look fuller, my body started to fill out much faster, strength was increasing drastically..and for every guy out there..MY LIBIDO SHOT UP!! alcohol messes with ur libido...badly....

honestly..there is not a worse feeling than waking up and having ur arms be 1cm smaller

called discouragement and its not needed

HIT THE GYM AND DRINK A PROTEIN SHAKE INSTEAD OF A BEER!

when i was in college i used to go to a club drinking every thursday and saturday bu those days are long over. obviously steroids and drinking will put extra strain on your liver and if you dont care about that then go get drunk ed. i personally never get drunk anymore and very rarely drink whatsoever. i dont have the time to go out drinking even if i had the will to do. when i was younger it was fun to go to clubs with my friends, get drunk and pick up girls but now i perfer to take my son to the park or mall as opposed to drinking.

    SO glad SOMEONE mentioned this!

IMO, drinking is an excuse for little men with no personalities to loosen up and have a "good time", because they are the most boring people when they're sober.

do your best to keep it down..i drank once while i was on so far.. I don't know if
you experience this but... i had three beers and i really felt high..it felt
    like i had 6-8.

it was cool i guess...cuz i didn't need to drink anymore.

it could be two things one cuz i stopped drinking alot this year ..only a few times..my tolerance is probably low..

the other thing... being on juice the liver is doing xtra work so it takes time to
break down the alcohol..therefore you get high quicker and it may last longer.

alcohol eats muscle tissue and stunts test production upon many other things.
if you must drink though then drink a glass of wine.
of course not everyone is the same but this is for most id say.
    Eats muscle tissue huh...
While it's not a good combo or goo in general, I'm gonna have to disagree with you.

ALCOHOL HINDERS MUSCLE DEVELOPMENT AND HERE IS 4 REASONS

    (1) Dehydration – Should be fairly obvious. Saturated muscles grow better than dry ones. Consuming alcohol dehydrates muscle tissue resulting in a weakened anabolic environment.

    (2) Reduced Protein Synthesis – Protein synthesis is the process of building muscle. When we work out we break down our muscle tissue; growth then takes place in the rest period afterwards as the tissue is repaired..you all know this. The rate at which this happens decreases with alcohol consumption.

    (3) Decreased Testosterone –The vast majority of research conducted in the past 25 years in both animals and humans has found that alcohol inhibits testosterone secretion. No Test. No growth.

    (4) Hangover - No explanation need here I hope. You can forget having a great workout for 48 or even 72 hours after a heavy night’s drinking.

Ineffective workouts = less than optimal muscle stimulation = a waste of time

    That sums everything up

    AWESOME

I've seen people that drink while they are on cycle and non of them are actually serious about bb. They just do it cause they think it's cool(gear) and guess what after they are done with the cycle they all realize that the could do way better if there was no drinking involved. It's up to everybody what they are going to do while on cycle IMO. That's why I think gear is ONLY for people that are into sports. Bar people stay away of this. It's your life, Geez.

I never drink while on gear only when iam off, and even that is very rare for me. I always pictured in my brain the alcohol mixing with the juice and hindering my gains.

I just started on the 26th of July, and I'm going out of town with the guys this weekend (august 1st-3rd). I planned on drinking while I was there, but after reading this, I don't know. I'm sure I'll still have a few beers, but I doubt I'll get drunk.

i think the question is are you pro or just doing it for yourself

I drink really hard...3 times a week. And while I was on cycle...I wouldnt lose a pound. your body is so anti-catabolic that it doesnt break down like it normally would.
but as soon as I got off cycle..I started dropping so much weight. I even dropped 5 lbs. less than what I had started with when I started my cycle.

so from my personal experience...it's really not so bad to drink while on cycle. (no orals)

But I wouldnt recommend any serious bb'ers to drink. I just do it because I'm still young and want to enjoy my life. Being buff isnt the most important thing in life.

  36. #76
I agree with VR4...Mainly cause I'm young too and I'm not gunna be bodybuilding or competing ever. Also, there was an article in Rolling Stone about 2 months ago talking about your liver and the effects alcohol has on it. I'm not saying that stacking juice and alcohol is good cause that is definately not the case but if you can, look up the article. Your liver is A LOT stronger and recovers much more easily than most think according to the write up. I was pretty surprised.

IMO 3 times a week of heavy use is a drinking problem. When I say moderation I mean once or twice a month of drinking enough to get a lil buzz. Less you drink the less it takes. After being so carb depleted lately and not drinking in a few months I had two beers on saturday night and I felt nice.

Why bother? If your not drinking more than that, I wouldnt bother at all. Most girls drink more than that. A lot more. I can definitely see where going pro, then you should not drink. But not everybody here is in that league, I most definitely am not. But I can still get big and strong enough while enjoying my alohol.

I know that I am not geting my full gains, but if I see much more gains and bulk, I am probably gonna get tested. So, I have the best of both worlds right now. TO EACH HIS OWN, and we should not have death wished on us by fellow meatheads (that was for you lego )
