Yes I definitely was protecting my family. The GUN is a legal firearm. Registered. I just didnt have a concealed weapons permit. My mistake. I'll pay the consequence for my action.

I live in Portland. Yes actually this is the THIRD time this has happened to me. My Fiance is how should I put this... VERY VERY GOOD LOOKING by Maine standards... I think she is the Most gorgeous thing to ever walk the face of the Earth but thats because I love her ever so deeply.. and I think she is looking over my shoulder so... LOL....But yah ... she is always getting approached and stuff its... crazy. She is covered in Tattoos... all of 100lbs.. soaking wet. 5 feet tall... and The boobies that I bought for her... really add to the whole lets stare at this dudes woman... lol....

There was witnesses that saw me pull it out of my jacket and a surveillance tape that saw the whole thing. So I couldnt lie. They knew I was carrying concealed.. I HAVE A CALL INTO THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO FIND OUT HOW TO GET IT BACK !!!

You must be really unlucky, because there is very little violent crime in portland. I know a bunch of people who live there and none of them have ever had a gun pulled on them. One is even a very attractive girl (no fake boobies though). I'm not trying to be a dick, but you might want to consider that something about you is attracting this sort of thing.

Don't get the wrong idea about the USA. I live in a much more dangerous part of the U.S. than the OP and I have never felt the need to carry a gun. Almost nobody here carries a gun, and most states have pretty strict laws about guns. That's why the OP got in trouble even though he was clearly in the right in this situation.

Florida is a definite Possibility !!! Actually Miami or right outside or maybe inside miami... like South Beach Area... just cause !! BUT A MOVE OUT OF MAINE IS A MUST !!!

Eh...I wouldn't live in South Beach. It's cool to visit, but I promise you when spring break/memorial day hits, you don't wanna live there. There's plenty of other places in Miami to live, depending on your budget.

Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, Old Cutler, Palmetto Bay...

You can drive to South Beach in 10 min, enjoy it, then go home to a quiet neighborhood.

Plus...FL has cool gun laws.
