You thinking about death is kind of the worlds way of trying to make you understand that you're really not special at all. You've been crushing insects/swating flies/eating meat and generally participating in cycles of death since you were born.
I think at some point humans realize how much death they cause as a collective whole and it scares them. 8 billion chickens die every year do you think about that?
All the cows we slaughter for beef?
The seals we club for their fur?
The ant you stepped on yesterday?
Why is it easy to not think about that, but then when it comes to human life its all a sudden a big deal?
Its not, we are no more special then the seagull that shits on our head at the beach. Intelligence doesnt make something important, it just sometimes fools that something into thinking it IS important.
You thinking about death is the only real way you can gain appreciation for everything else ALIVE in this world. Not just your family or friends, but the entire world.
In a hundred years everyone on this forum will be dead.
Its not a happy thought but you'll be happier right now knowing your not dead yet. =]
