She doesn't...LOL...I mean, I don't. In the grand scheme of things, once a week isn't "bad", but it seems like the real issue is that you two have different goals/viewpoints. Are you against drinking entirely, or just the frequency of her drinking?

I think everyone needs the chance to blow off some steam once a week or so if possible.Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with her getting sloshed 1 night a week PROVIDED
    1) She never puts her drinking ahead of taking care of the little one.
    2) If it gets to the point that she is constantly getting totalized as and not able to maintain her some semblance of being semi-functional then she would either need to seek help or be escorted to a place that can help her.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

i've never seen the bf drunk once.

    a drink or two tops.......

if i knew before hand they were a drinker, they wouldn't stand a chance from the get go....

my only thing is - unless she becomes abusive to her kids, abusive to you, and it's ruining her life - then once a week after a long work week and dealing with kids, isn't too bad.....

imo the once a week frequency of drinking sounds nice even interesting but only question/concern would be that the child would need someone that you trust with that child's life in case of an emergency....all this due in fact that you mention DRUNK not just having a lil fun but DRUNK....i dont think the child should see their parent drunk either
