Except for the fact that American women dont give a damn about loosing face, looking like crap or a fool or what is right or wrong and will go to any means to take everything from you. With Asians it's not so much babysitting but more just reminding them and keeping them in line holding up their part of the bargain.

I have to agree with auslifta on this one. I'm old fashioned where I think they guy should wait outside the room smoking a cigar and after the birth head down to the pub with his buddies to celebrate while the wife recuperates with her nurse/mid wife.
At the most if he/you want to be in the room stand up by her head and let her break your hand but DONT watch the process. For most people it does change everything. What once was a fun play toy turns into????

Yes it's an amazing thing but I would rather watch it on the discovery channels and for Gods sake, leave the camcorders at home.... No one wants to see that sh*t.
