Thanks everyone for all the support. And yes you all are right, I will do the follow up since then if nothing else I will have a better understanding of what to expect down the road as far as any signs of a reccurance, if so what's the course of action, how fast will it progress etc.

Bro...isn't there a Scope or Test you can take to determine if you have any other issue's with adjacent organs (or any organs for that matter)?

I'm not up on this...but there should be a scope or something that can be done before cutting takes place.

Good to hear everthing is fine, always get tested bro no mater what, i took care of my father who died of colon cancer stage 4 in 2006, not fun at all, had my first colonoscopy at 34 years old everything was fine. Testing is the best thing to prevent illness in many cases.

    Whats up everyone?

Just got news that all is fine. That is there is no indication of any further tumors, anywhere else in the body.

Much thanks to all who replied and particularly those who pushed me to get further testing done. I have been cleared to work out and am feeling great again much thanks to all.

For those who want the typical long winded post I make, here is the extended rambling version.

Although my surgeon was not aware of any tumor markers for goblet cell carcinomas, I did a lot of research on my own and found that there seemed to be two tests. One, Chromagranin A which tests blood plasma and another Contrast Scintography which looks for tumors using a isotope and body scan. When I went to see the oncologist Dr Nelson Kalid that my surgeon reffered me to, he started by asking me how much I knew about my situation. When I told him of the two tests he smiled and said yes that is exactly what he had in mind and he was glad to see how well informed I was ;-) Also he mentioned that if the tests were positive instead of Chemo which most do, he would advise me to follow up with a new modified genome shot to be taken once per month for a year which would be pain and symptom free ( no loss of hair or body wieght ETC.) . He explained the only down side was that it was extremly expensive and that the insurance company would fight it tooth and nail but that he knew the head of the MD insurance review board as well as the head of Suburban hospital and not to worry he would fight both tooth and nail to insure that the treatment would be O-K'd. I gotta tell you this guy really gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling, along with being board certified and having 30 yrs in practice despite looking fairly young he has been published in medical journals and his work cited by others so he is evidently very well respected. Also when I asked me if I took any medication and I told him none other than testosterone he did not blink an eye.

    Again, much thanks to all.

Also I hope to start a new thread with my stats and pics soon.

Good to hear and glad to see you followed though with the doctors apt. it's better to know than always have that doubt in the back of your mind and everytime you catch a cold or something doesn't feel just right you start to wonder if it could be xxx? Now there are no worries.
