-35 sucks, especially with the wind. But -20 is terrific skiing weather.

You take a breath of winter
    And your nose freezes shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around,
    I could never leave Canada
I'm frozen to the friggin' ground!

Unless you're on the west coast. The only weather we get here is wet and wetter.

We pretty much only get two seasons over here, spring and fall.

I would take wet and wetter any day over cold and colder. But I am one of the odder canucks out there.

Alright, it's finally snowed here where I am... Finally.

Going to wait to see if this melts over the next few days before I decide to throw the winter tires on, though. One thing I hate is putting on the winters after a snowfall and all of it melts only to have very little snow the rest of the season.

Damn, that would be fun. I know some guys who live far enough north they don't drive cars in the winter (which, for them, is like 6 months out of the year lol), they snowmobile everywhere.

My buddy was ice fishing yesterday at one of the back country lakes for speckle (brook) trout. He reported 5" of ice.

Just got dumped on with snow a day ago or so here. Not too much, maybe 10cm at most. I threw the winter tires on but this snow better stay. I hate it when the snow melts after i've thrown the winters on and the tires just wear out quicker.

A Saskatchewan farmer and his wife, on their way back home in January, are at an airport in Arizona awaiting their flight. They were dressed in heavy boots, parka, scarf, mittens, all ready to head home to the Canadian winter.

An older American couple standing nearby is intrigued by their manner of dress.

The wife says to her husband, "Look at that couple. I wonder where they are from?"
He replies, "How would I know?"
She counters, "You could go and ask them."
He says, "I do not really care. You want to know, you go and ask them."

She decides to do just that and walks over to the couple and asks,
"Excuse me. Looking at the way you are dressed, I wondered ~ where you are from ?"

The Canadian farmer replies, "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan".

The woman returns to her husband, who asks, "So, where are they from?"

She replies, "I don't know. They don't speak English.”

Sadly, ive been out to the east coast only once. But what an adventure and experience! I cant wait to go back! Stayed on PEI for a wk and ate seafood 24/7..lol

They have shacks on the side of the highway like french fry shacks, but the sell lobster bodies and mollusks instead! What a trip! 5 bucks gets you a pile of lobster bodies and a handful of mollusks! They server it on a tray with a piece of brown paper towel and huge knife. lol

At one rest stop area i took my small cooler down the shore and picked a pile of malpeque oysters! They are considered the finest oyster in the world! Yeah im pretty excited about the East Coast.

We stayed at the Twin Shores campground. Awesome place to gather and party with a huge group. I attended a family reunion. What a blast!

Not sure ab out your neck of the woods, but here in Northern Ontario we are about to experience a heat wave this wk. Temps will rise to +4! Thats horrible for skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and just about any other winter activity. This sucks!

It was warm out west too, managed to hit the mountains for some boarding this weekend. Warm but not to warm, perfect blue sky all day long. Perfect skiing conditions.
