Well like it or not with certain levels such as monitor comes certain responsibilities and privileges. If this bothers you then you are going to be in for a rude awakening in the military. Boot camp is nothing like it use to be but I can guarantee you it's not bed of roses and you are going to be belittled, put down and disrespected like you cant imagine and there will be nothing fair about it.

Anyone who has monitor under their name they have done something to deserve it according to Admin and since you arent admin you dont make the rules so either you have to abide by them or find someplace else to play.

It sounds like you like to give criticism and say things that can be taken as insolent or disrespectful at times. I do the same thing but you have to be willing to take it as good as you give it without getting angry or feeling offended.

Hopefully with time you will learn that yes with certain labels such as monitor or someone wearing a badge it's best to give them a little extra respect. I know guys who have visited other countries such as Mexico, Thailand, Philippines and feel they are better than the locals or even the police but they quickly learn (not really learn) that it doesnt pay to be arrogant except to the local authorities. When I am in these places even if a Cop starts to give me crap for no apparent reason I just smile and say OK, I'm sorry, how can I make it right even if I did not do anything wrong. Arguing will get you no where and I have NEVER had to pay a penny or gotten in any trouble. Just by showing them a little extra respect typically that's all it takes to have them show you respect back.

It's not about what YOU think is fair but it's how things work and makes life a lot easier.

The military has nothing to do with any of this. I'm strong, I have taken anybody anyone has thrown at me physically and mentally. I do the same thing as you in person, but I rarely ever find myself in those predicaments. I just comply and it smile it off when it comes to cops, in fact I've befriended a few of my dad's friends are cops. Someone physically harming me or a loved one is a different story

You take care also. No disrespect meant but you have some hard life lessons ahead of you and if you dont learn them quickly you may bite off more than you can chew.

I dont think you understand how the military works. They are going to do everything to break you down before they build you up mentally and physically. The more of a hard ass or tough you are when you go in the more you are going to get chewed up and spit out. That's the last place you want to go into with an attitude of being better than anyone else.

Well either way I hope it works out for you and you find what you are looking for. Most of us dont have a problem with how things work around here and dont feel we are kissing ass so to speak. Everyone has their bad and good days be it a monitor, admin or just a member and say things we should not. You need to learn to let it roll off and not bother you. You dont really know the person on the other end of the keyboard or what is going on in their life at the time.

I have no real issue with you Shsm, we may have had a run-in or two, over arbitrary nutrition bs. But I will offer this advice, which can be applied beyond this forum (i.e. in real life):

Sometimes, it pays to take the high road. You don't always have that option mind you, but here, you do/did. You have every right and ability to PM Admin and/or any senior staff with whatever issues you have. If you felt wronged/disrespected by StPete, it should have (privately) been brought to somebody of authority's attention. It would have been handed much more gracefully, I can assure you of that, and you'd probably still be a member here. Maybe you don't care, idk. Please don't take this as condescending at all; it isn't. Just something to consider now and down the road of life.

I understand that GB...my point to TR was only to point out that exceptions to the "rule" have been made...for whatever reason. Behind the scenes or not it seems like a bad practice to say "this is the RULE" and then make the rule fluid.

I could care less honestly other than my opinion of the kid is higher than most because I have gotten to know him a bit more through PM's and have seen him try to do good things for the other younger members that come on here. Like alot of us did (I did) at his age...he has a problem with authority to a degree and has not experienced life enough yet to understand some fights...wrong or right, are best walked away from. Hell I am still struggeling with that
