    E5C,

I also have back issue's more importantly was basically "addicted" to Oxy from years of use. I was a spinal fusion canadate and opted against it. To this day i beleive that to be the smartest move health wise I have ever done. Obviously I do not know your situation but TRT in itself is not gonna corrrect your back and or alieviate pain. What will help and has helped me tremendously is getting in the best shape you can and this includes diet not just excercise. I rarely use opiate meds anymore, just on crisis days and their arent many of them anymore. I will tell U this, getting off the opiates is even more painful than the back!! I wish that on no one, u are on a high daily dose, be carefull.

Today is two weeks since my first injection. The first was 200 mg but two weeks later, today, I injected 100mg because of your suggestions. I'll do 100mg weekly from now on. I still haven't felt any different. The spontaneous erections I was having are also gone. I think it was just in my head. I'm getting impatient, although I know it takes time. I'll keep you posted on my progress and will consider any and all suggestions.

Well it has been almost 4 weeks since my first injection of test cyp, and although I have noticed an increase in strength for now I'm attributing it to just starting to lift weights again after so many years of not lifting. What I do give credit the test cyp is my new found vigor in the bedroom. My libido is most definitely increased. I've also lost about 10 lbs. I'm now doing 100 mg weekly instead of 200 mg EOW. I'm very excited about my progress so far, and I know that as time goes on the benefits of TRT will be more apparent.

My libido is back down again. I called my doctor at the 4 week mark and I told him about my issues with libido and lack of energy. He raised my dose to 150mg a week From 100mg a week. The thing is the ampoules I get are 1ml each, so he said to use .75 ml/wk and discard the remaining .25ml. I will now be prescribed 4 ampoules a month. He told me to make sure not to use the remaining .25, but this just seems like a total waste to me. Per month I would be throwing out the equivalent of 1 ampoule of test cyp. My question is would it really be so bad to reuse the vile of test? Is there really such a high risk of it getting contaminated?

Anyone have an answer about reusing the .25ml left per vile with the rubber on top? My doctor wants me to use .75 ml (150 mg) test cyp per week from a 1ml vile and throw out the remaining .25, but it just seems like such a waste to me. I could just be saving 1 vile per month. I don't pay for any of my medicine because I'm a disabled Marine Corps Vet and I get all my medical needs met at my local VA hospital so I wouldn't be wasting my own money only the American tax payer's money, which I don't want to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not on trt, or a dr, or really know anything about anything... but I can't imagine throwing out 1/4 of my test. Pretty sure I'd end up taking it.

I would stockpile it. It will stay sterile for quite a while.

Yeah, I think I will just stockpile it. I'll use and alcohol pad on the vile every time I use it. It has been 5 weeks today since my first injection, and I'm thinking of doing 2 shots per week instead of 1 a week. We'll see how that goes. Thanks for all your responses guys.

Still have a long way to go to get to my goal of 175 and 10% BF. in your experiences how well does am fasted cardio work?

Fasted cardio works very well for me & many others. It's one of the best fat burner cardio routines you can do besides swimming a mile or two per day.

Keep up the good work, you'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel after you get the weight off.

I need help guys. I have had gyno all my life, I remember being embarrassed about it since kindergarten, and right now I'm fat and I feel like I have big busoms. I haven't told my endo about it, and I haven't gotten prescribed an AI. All I have prescribed is test cyp. My question is since I've had this all my life, could I possibly have had high estrogen all my life? I'm not a girly man. I'm balding on top and have hair all over my body. I have a deep voice. When I graduated Marine Corps bootcamp in '95 I weighed 160lbs but even then my chest felt a little big. Would introducing an AI possibly shrink my man boobs a bit, or would it have to be strictly all over body-fat loss. I have always been very self conscious about this, and it has made me a very shy and withdrawn person. Has anybody here had to deal with this issue and how did you go about fixing it? Apart from surgery, is there a way to fix it?

I have a friend who had man boobs and he was about your weight and bf. he has trimmed way down and his MB's are almost gone to the point of not worry about them.

I'd say stick with the program and concentrate on getting your bf low and see what you have at that point.

I will keep working on lowering my body fat. I don't know my exact body fat because I've checked it on those electronic scales where you get on with your bare feet and it sends some kind of electrical pulse. I tried two different scales. One said 29 the other said 27. So, I'm estimating roughly 30%. What is a better and more accurate measurement? I don't have a gym membership. I use free weights at home. Are calipers much more accurate?

The BF scales are not accurate as most cannot separate water and fat your probably less than what it says. Look in the mirror you will know when your getting under 15.

Ya but then what. I thought you need to take pinch measurements from various places and somehow calculate bf %.

I switched from 1 shot a week to 2 shots per week of 75mg each. I don't mind the extra pinning at all and actually look forward to injection day. After almost 6 weeks on TRT I haven't noticed much of a mood elevation but libido, strength and weight loss are definitely noticeable. On the other hand, I also haven't noticed the roller coaster effect of hormone fluctuations. Slow and steady progress is how I would describe TRT so far.

2 months since 1st pin. My doctor prescribed me .75ml a week (150mg) and I'm supposed to throw out the remaining .25ml (50mg) but I've been injecting the whole ml, just seems like a waste to toss it. I haven't taken a blood test to check my levels so I don't know if estrogen is too high. I spoke with the dr last week and suggested an AI but he refused, said it could be detrimental to my bones. I know everyone is different, could 200mg a week split into 2 doses possibly cause high estrogen? I'm worried about gyno because I've always had big man boobs. My doctor said if gyno becomes an issue call him back and we can discuss an AI. Also I don't take HCG. I'm done having kids, I've got 4. so far I've lost 20lbs of fat, and my strength has gone up considerably. The only cardio I do is walking a few miles every day. I won't jog until I lose more weight because I weigh too much and I could damage my knees. I'm no spring chicken. I'm 36yo now. Also my libido has shot up sky high. My wife doesn't want it as much as I do. I usually beat off 2 times a day. So far TRT has been great!

If your libido is that good I would say your e2 is fine, but what if during your next Dr. visit your test. is off the charts and you been injecting too much. Might be worth paying for your own bloodwork to get an idea where your at. Also at that dose your hematocrit will start to creep up rather quickly so check that also.

I get what you say that if libido is high then estrogen might be in check. However, I feel bloated all the time. I drink plenty of water, about 1.5 gallons a day. Maybe too much water? On the other hand I've read that the more water you drink the better to avoid bloat. Carbs are also probably not to blame because I only eat about 80-100 grams of carbs a day. I guess for my next appointment I will suggest a blood test to my doctor to check estrogen. Thanks for the many replies.

I'm not planning on doing it until I lower my body fat % to about 15%, but does anyone know what to stack test with so it doesn't show up on a blood test at the hospital?

WOOW, how can you function with such levels, a few yrs back my levels were around 200, and mind you I was 26. I felt soo bad, depressed, fat as hell, now i feel like well.. ive never felt this good, yes i also take hgh but still. you DEF need trt, if you cant get a good doctor i would suggest a rejuvenation clinic. theyre easier with the rx's, wait till you take your first test shots, you will literally travel in a time machine to a more youthful version of you.

I am prescribed Depot-testosterone by Pfizer 200mg/ml 1ml viles with a rubber stopper. I always seem to get an extra .2ml out of every vile. Does anybody else get prescribed this brand and have the same "problem"?

Hello everyone,it has been almost 3 months since my first injection of test cyp, and my libido has gone way down. I take 200mg a week with no AI and no HCG. The first couple of months my libido was through the roof but it has really gone down lately. I also feel very bloated. My doctor hasn't sent me to get any follow up blood tests although I mentioned possibly high estrogen. He said an AI could damage my bones. I know only a blood test can tell for sure, but are these classic signs on high estrogen?

Make sure you tell him that the only way your bones get damaged is if you crash your estrogen and keep it at 0 constantly! Higher E is pretty damn bad too

Yes, and your test. dose is probably way too high. You need blood work done. On a high dose such as yours, the hematocrit could be going up fast. Bloodwork needs to be done. Bloodwork, bloodwork, bloodwork.

Thanks...I'm going to call my doctor to request the blood work. Hopefully he won't lower my test dose, but instead prescribe an AI.

Labs usually come back the next day.
But you're taking what is likely too much testosterone. And since you're overweight, you're even more prone to high E2 (as aromatase enzymes are most concentrated in fat tissue).
And no, an AI won't "damage your bones" when used properly. That mostly applies to post-menopausal women being treated with huge doses of AIs for breast cancer, as some estrogen is needed for bone anabolism.

Talked to my doctor yesterday about my estradiol results and he said its a little high. He prescribed me tamoxifen. How well does this usually work? My estradiol was 55. I have started taking only 100mg test cyp a week and I have decided to stash the other 100mg to do a cycle later when I have enough and my body fat gets lowered. I started loosing weight when I first started doing the shots, but the weight loss has since stopped. I just seem to be hungry all the time. I'm just glad my gyno has a possible cure with the tamoxifen. Hope all goes well.

How long does it typically take for tamoxifen to start reversing gyno and how well does it work on gyno that has existed since I was a kid? I'm 36yo now.

Horsemnn, I guess you're right about the exercise part. Ever since I hurt my back 10 years ago, I've been taking pills. I really do need to suck it up and exercise more. The testosterone is just to supplement my physical activity, it's not a cure in and of itself. Since it's to cold around the Chicagoland area to exercise outside, I will get a gym membership at my local community center when I get back from Mexico in January. Thanks to everyone that has answered my questions and given me advice over these past few months. I will keep everyone posted.

I just got back from Mexico after a 3 week vacation. I did a lot of exercise running after cattle up and down mountains. In the 3 weeks I lost 10 lbs of fat with the help of my test cyp. Also yesterday I joined the gym at my local community center. My life has completely turned around since I started using the testosterone a few months ago. I feel much healthier and lighter. So far my experience with testosterone has been great!
