My eyes and hearing started to get bad when i was in the army. I broke my rist and hurt my lower back in Afghanistan. I fell out of a blackhawk. I had to get a waiver for my flat feet.

3 feet is more than far enough to screw up your back if you land wrong. Typically when young we heal fast but not always. I hurt mine when I was 23. After 20 more years of abuse and over use I could not walk or stand more than 10 minutes at a time until after surgery.

Take care of your back now, it's the only one you got and if you dont it can change your life forever.

I would not want a "purple heart" a useless medal to a non american like my self. No actual meaning to me is what im getting at.


Edit: Australia does not have a equivalent to your purple heart. You have to really do something outstanding and then maybe you might get a VC. Theres no real need in my mind to just hand out medals just for dying or getting injured. Thats just part of the job i guess.
