    Damn... I was just going to say be careful you dont injure yourself. Thats one of the things I try to warn everyone about especially our age is with the strength gains come a great increase of injury. I had my shoulder surgery 2 years ago, Whatever you do, DONT try pushing through it. Give it time to heal even if that means stopping your cycle early. I really wish I had. Instead I pushed through and still saw good gains. Then did the same thing a few months later and it got even worse until it was to much and to late.

    ^^^^ this no need to max out ever. Proper form and intense muscle contraction will prove more productive. Hope that injury is minor.

    I dont think its nothing too serious (I hope not), its eased up a bit today, I plan to give it a good break and work other muscle groups in the mean time. So in your opinion is 12lbs in 5 weeks unrealistic? I have a cardio day today, Legs and Abs tomorrow and Cardio the following day. Hopefully I can get back on some lite weights by Saturday.

    Speaking of form, one of the reasons for my injury was form. I thought my form was good but I was over extending and put to much strain on my shoulders.

    Dont focus on the numbers, weight.

    I actually thought about pushing through it last night, sometimes our minds are stronger than our body, that or we are just to damn proud and dumb...... Anyway I called it quites immediately afterwards and went home rested. At my age (thats hard to say) things take longer to heal.....

    Ice ice ice. 3x a day 30 minutes on 30 minutes off 3x in a row.

    That stinks you pulled a muscle bh. Hope that you have a fast recovery. It's a good idea to have a vial of TB500 in the freezer for this type of situation.

    I simply got too hung up on wanting to lift more to gain more. I'm usually try to be very specific on form, and will be paying much more attention to it moving forward.

    I started icing last night but I will follow your suggestion tonight, thanks bud. Does heat offer any benefit?

    Yea the only thing I pulled out of the freezer last night was a bag of ice!

    No heat will cause information. It feels better only briefly. After 3 or more days heat is ok but I still only use ice.
