Yes, more than doubled... For less coverage. I lost the plan I had because I couldn't afford the rate increase.
I now pay $250/mo for an individual plan that basically doesn't do crap until expenses top $6k.

I just had a surgery a few years ago (laparoscopic varicocelectomy) and I remember the surgery costing around 25k but I only paid a little under a 1000? And I thought that was steep. Maybe Obamacare has yet to affect the plan I am currently enrolled in.
