Just want to add an observation from watching a recent divorcee. She found what she calls is her ‘soul mate’. He lost his wife to cancer 2 maybe 3 years now and he’s just not quite ready.
If this was me, I would stop dating and wait for him for at least a year.
So she signs up on several dating sites and is seeing several men at the same time. She is gaining weight bc she’s eating out most every night. These men don’t seem to realize she’s no working late or caring after her non minor kids. These men all seem to be exceptionally wealthy.
She is using every man. She is a gold digger and she doesn’t hid it.
Some Men play games.
Some Women play games.
I hope these people get hooked up bc they deserve each other!!!

I can say this much, if you want to see a miserable woman, look no further than a woman with a weak ass little beta cuck for a man. You'll see a neurotic mess of a woman. Me & the wife were just talking about this - I don't "let" my wife work or go to school or anything - So - - - She stopped working 2-3 days before my son was born(he's gonna be 10) & never worked for anyone else since. She totally likes it this way - what she told me today; "then take care of me & all of our everything" - and, than you GOD I still do & can
My other very close female friend is the same way, she's giving up a great paying career to be a stay at home mom because she finally got with a guy who's worth a shit
But, I get it - we're all different
I guess I'm old school this way

I was just responding to the title of the thread Samson. The wife and I have been pretty equal in most everything.
Bless her heart, even at 64, she gets pissed if I insist on carrying something like a big bag of potting soil from her car, to the backyard. I watched her grunt and groan repotting this little jade tree last month, but she insisted on doing it alone. She’s a little warrior AND she can cook up a storm. I’m one very lucky man. But damn, now that she’s retired, her extra cooking is destroying what little chance I had at regaining a six-pack.

Good thread. I don't know how I missed it. I wish I read all these posts when I was single and was looking for a woman. I'm glad that after using the elitesingles site and meeting several women, I finally found my love and have a wife now. But now I realize that maybe it would be easier if I followed someone's advice.

Very American thought. I think you missed the mark on loyalty. A woman wants to know WHAT the situation is. If you are selling her it is a one on one relationship then yeah you locked yourself in. Personally I never wanted a one on one relationship. No one woman has all the skillsets to make a man happy in all ways. Some men are happy with good cooked food and a clean house. Other men are happy with a sexy woman that makes good salary. Some men want it all. For those that want it all (me) the reality is one woman will not do it. In this case you have to
1) Set the multiple woman expectation from the start
2) Set the understanding of why there is more than one woman
3) SHOW that there is no competition financially
4) All the above is worthless if you do not have a sense of trust and honesty about you
Yes finding the poly setup that is peaceful takes money and effort. No it is not a pipe dream. Have to remember the majority of marriages in the world are polyamourous. Now America is very #me too ....so it is not much of a reality. I took transfer to Hong Kong in my job and my desire is realized. TM, want to disagree respectfully. My wife of 35 years is a strong, proud & independent woman. A professional that out earned me and who she and I split responsibilities right down the middle. Tougher than nails as well. Always has been and always will be. Yet she understands my occasional need for outside “company” . I am not a player, never in any stretch of my imagination have considered myself as such. Does she asks for details, of course not. But she truly knows that it is something I need. Would I do the same for her, if she asked; absolutely. Love & a durable relationship takes a lot of understanding and compromise.
