There is no doubt a lot of innocent folks will die...

My personal opinion is that the dude should have been assasinated quietly... poisonned in his sleep... something like that... no "glorious death", no publicity, no honour. Of course this is only my opinion... for what it's worth.

Getting to him wasn't easy. If there was a quieter way to kill him I assure you it would have been done. These terrorists are surrounded by body guards and hidden in different places all the time. Finding the right moment to take them out with a minimal number of deaths is very very hard and Israel doesn't have the luxury of starting to carry out sophisticated (sp) assasinations.
Don't think that his replacement can sleep well at night. He knows he's in line too and Israel even tried to execute him once but failed, as happened with Yassin last time. Rantissi's time will come too, and he knows it. The fact that he knows it just might keep him scared enough to make him hide more and be less active.
