    I'm here. What a day! Imagine a 2-year-old having a tantrum. Now picture that 2-year-old at 5'9" and 160#
Now you know why I spend so much time at the gym

I caught part of one while passing the world's smallest kidney stone. Had to hot patch 2 walls; pinky finger still has a custom twist from grazing the stud.

    YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by Obs, Couch and Cape Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Snowball I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Lawerence and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know; that Lawerence’s death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, *saves lives*. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a *damn* what you think you are entitled to!

Hopefully, no bad smells or sounds will emanate from me into y'all's thread. Eating blackened cod, quinoa with peppers, and grilled zucchini. Don't feel like heading up to the microwave oven, so it's nice and cold.

What are you guys having for supper?

Now that sounds good! Hamburgers cooked on the grill? How do you make your sweet potato chips? The last ones Mrs. AG made came out closer to being like dried apple slices. She tried something different and it didn't work out very well.

Thinly sliced. Drizzle olive oil. Sea salt. Bake 400 20 min. Flip 1/2 way through.
Burgers on the grill. I use 80/20 and mix catsup or bbq sauce in. They stay juicy.

Nah, Cape. I've actually had the shop to myself for the past few nights. I get my mill and lathe work done and monitor the hardening furnace. Actually have a couple of pieces of D-2 on one of the surface grinders, one part in the draw oven, and have my fingers crossed that no one breaks anything before 11.

I don't get to visit much, so this has been nice. I'll read in here a bit, then cruise the forum briefly. I think I finally have gotten my shit all raked up into one pile and can get back to lifting regularly. .
I was spending an assload of time on Indeed, submitting resume's, and checking out some of the companies around Donaldson Center.
Actually may get to take Mrs. AG out to grab an early supper this weekend.

    Shit, I sound old!

Shoot, I enjoy reading everyone's lifts and all. Still call the dungeon thread my home, but reading the different training approaches is cool.
I'm surprised at progress I'm seeing. Going to have to light a fire under my own ass now that I'm having weekends off.
Tell you what, after 16 years of mostly third shift, second shift is a big change.....so much daylight and traffic!
Probably will end up on day shift my last couple of weeks here. I can deal with that though. I like early morning lifting in my shop at home!!

Reading between the lines you’re saying I’ve got this in the bag. Thx AG. Appreciate your confidence.

Oh man. That’s right you’re dealing with traffic. That’s rough

    Back tonight:

    BB rows
    Wide grip pull ups
Close grip pull ups with a narrow handle
    DB rows
    Reverse grip pull-downs
    Shrugs

Overall, it was a good workout. The gym was empty and the music was loud. I envy well equipped home gyms.

CM, thanks for the diet comment, i have a follow-up question about carbs I'll throw out this weekend. But for now, everyone have a fantastic weekend!

(Yes, I'm still chubby. Working on it)

Don’t sell yourself short! You are progressing nicely! You really do have a nice wide back! Can’t wait to see how it looks at the end of the comp!

I'm towards the Upstate. I had Basic at Jackson and later went to PLDC/PNCOC at Jackson out near the Screaming Eagle Road area....in July. Saw some of the largest rattlesnakes I've ever seen in my life.
I remember the last time I was in Columbia a few years back. Broad River Road, I-20, etc. were basically a roll of the dice as far as traveling safely. Probably hasn't improved.

Went scuba diving today. It was a great experience. Fish everywhere. Breathing under water. It was all quite weird to say the least.

I was in for shoulders today:
    Machine press
    Lateral raises
    DB presses
    Rear bent over flys
    Superset
    Seated lateral
    Seated front raise

    20 minutes of cardio.

    Dinner: ground beef/chili beans/rice.

Still wondering how to handle my diet when i start my cycle (see earlier post).

Hope everyone had a terrific weekend, look forward to reading y'all again.

Got my cardio this morning, then was out most of the day, came home and had my planned cheat meal plus. Felt bloated and tired. Took a long nap. Off to the gym for quads tonight. I'll put that cheat meal to good use!

Is yours an all-out cheat? Or do you just eat a few more carbs? I recall you mentioned you were about to add carbs back into your regular diet. What's the thinking in adding back the carbs while you're trying to lose weight?

    Totally understand your reluctance, lol.

I'm doing some light cardio at this point. Aggressively walking M-W-F mornings, fasted, carrying a 50 pound weight vest, for about 30 mins. It's a heavy walk and I sweat, but not overly 'cardio'. I'm limited to what i can do at home in the mornings, with no equipment other than the vest. It goes up to 100 pounds, and this week I'll up it to 60 pounds.

I was saying earlier, when i start my cycle this week, weekly: 600 test/400 mast/.25 adex eod, the scale freaks me out as i tend to go up in weight. This is the first cycle I've done where I'm actually trying to lose weight. I'm still eating 2400-2500 calories, but my weight loss is starting to slow down. I'd like to 1) keep my food up, and 2) still lose about 2 pounds a week. I'll know more when i weigh in tmrw.
