    yes, i am confronted with mortality on a daily basis, but more than that.

    i'm confronted with misery, illness, financial hardship of others, etc. etc.

    and i don't watch much tv anymore, though i grew up on a healthy diet of media trash. so it's all real to me

    real death is very quiet, very anti-climactic, lacking in drama - except that which is created by the people around it.
