where i live, the police are the nice ones and the sheriffs are the ass holes... the city cops will usually cut you some slack.. but i do respect cops for the risk they take everday. their life is on the line everytime they pull someone over. they are definitely under-paid.

unfortunatly police officers are in the public eye. so you notice the bad ones more easily. i know just as many cops who are great people as i do cops that are pricks. just like every other job they are people first. good and bad. the thing is no one really notices the asst. plumber who is a prick. they are always gonna notice the cop. thats just the way it is. i take it you are a cop. if so you have my respect. you guys do a tough job especially with all the restrictions put on you by society. i know i couldnt have worked with my hands tied.
