The Gallardo is totally pimp and unique and I love the funky orange or lime green colors! The Viper was a less expensive option, but as of late.. has started to fade in my desires.

NOW... the Z06 is kicking the ass of ALL of them and is the over all best car for the money... BUT it has no prestige any longer due to the look damn near identicall to the normal vettes that are buzzing around all over my town.

If Im going to spend big bucks on a car.. I dont want to have what everyone else has.

    Here are some factors:

    Depreciation

    OVER MSRP prices

    Shock value

    Maintanance

    Performance

OH... one more thing... all of the cars would be NEAR new except for the Z06. The Lamborghini would be a 2003 and the 360 Modena would be 2000-2002

    Lamborghini - 125,000 - 145,000

    Ferrari - 105,000 - 125,000

    Viper - 65,000-70,000

    Vette 75,000 (ten over sticker)
    Any Input??

Get the 'vette. Then get the LGM long tubes with X-pipe, skip shift eliminator, then get a cold air induction, then get a small cam and custom tune, then get a clutch up grade. You can do all this on the money you woulda had to budget to get the Ferrari or Lambo. Plus you'll sound better and be faster/quicker and the brakes will STILL be adaquite. Oh yeah, if you still have some money left over, get a seperate set of CCW rims with bigs-n-littles. Bias ply front runners and bias ply wrinkle wall slicks. I'm assuming you have a helmet already. Let me know what it runs.

Get a copy of the dupont registery(avaible at most book stores or do a search) . Don't get an american sports car, you will always wish you spent a little more and got what you really wanted. My advice, build on your business, you're about to be very well off when the books blow up and sponsors start really taking notice of what you have built. Wait a little and get the very best then. Cars are still just a machine, they build new and better ones everyday.

Corvettes nice, but are very common, and there isn't much distinction between the models. The viper though, I find is ALOT less common in my area. Personally I'd buy the viper, throw in alittle extra performance goodies, and call it a day. Save the rest of the money, and invest it in your buisness, or into your home.

The exotics are going to cost more upfront, and over the long haul.

Plus anybody who watched the TV show "Viper" and doesn't want one of those cars, is crazy.

Not Hasselhoff, but the show was ALOT like NightRider. I loved that show. Dodge used to put all their concept cars on that show ie: Prowler, newer Caravans, Neon ACR, Viper GTS, ect.

Corvettes are nice, but everyone in my area has one.

You gotta get the 360. Its still a slick car even after the intro of the F430. It's either that or the Gallrado for wow factor and lowest depreciation value. Like you mentioned b4 the Gallardo doesnt have the famous "lambo doors" since its so low I have read a few reviews stating when you park next to a curb the passenger door will hit it..and that is no good. Only thing better about the Gallardo is they havent released an updated model like they have with the 360. Tough call actually.

I have either driven or been in every single sports car known to man (except the Enzo). IMO, I wouldn't drive a vette. To me, it's just a plain ordinary sports car that you see everywhere. I think it your looking to turn heads, go with a Ferrari. Period. If you looking for value, depreciation Value and everday driving, there is NOTHING like driving a PORSCHE. If you can afford it, I'd go with a RUF....Lamborgini is an amazing car that will definitely turn heads as well. DEFINITELY HAS THE "WOW" Factor...Oh and the Viper to me isn't a solid car. Every test I see with that car, it seems it is always on the side of the road overheating....

Your thoughts on re-sale value are correct, but if you go with the Italians, prepare to have a close personal relationship with your mechanic.

How about a Porsche? Still have the prestige of owning an exotic, yet the price would be lower... comparable to a Vetter or Viper.

The shocking wow factor plays a major role in my vehicle selections as well. Personally i would stay away from domestics, but grant that they are attractive in price and a whp out of the box.

There is a very nice Aussie built car called a Monaro getting around in the states.I think you guys call it a goat.6LT 2 door. Not quiet in the same league as some of the cars in this thread but still a very nice car. I have one here in Aust. it has a different cam in it and does the 1/4 in 11.8.

Man if you wanna own a car that no one has just get one and move here. I live in a fair sized city (pop around 200,000) and I've seen 2 360's, 2 maybe 3 z06's, and never seen a viper but heard of a lambo driving around about 4 years ago. not a poor city by any means either. everyone just buys fuking $100,000 trucks.

I have to say that I am 100% happy with this choice! Factors were:

    -Vipers performance and price

-The SOUND of the damn thing!

    -Not common on the road

-resale (i bought it so good that I will never lose out down the road)

-Easy to get worked on at Dodge dealers

Thanks for all of the imput guys! It really helped me with my choice.

NOTE: You cant get insurance for ferrari's unless you pay 1-2k a month for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! **** THAT (although I still want one! hehe)
