    I had the same prob as you, after going to family doctor well I mean the doctor in my family we found out I was allergic to that paticular gear and got cellulits. Did a scratch test with it on my arm and that blew up like a balloon to.

    I almost died from a paper cut on my finger that got infected, NO B/S!! It got infected then became an abscess, then turned to cellulitis which spread up my lymph vessels to the lymph glands. I then developed sepses & all in a few hours. I rushed to the hospital & they put me under a general, lanced it & put me on IV antibiotics for a week. It was very serious!

    Now this is your whole leg! I don't know why you would want to wait. even if it is not an infection, you could develop DVT (blood clot in the artery) because of swelling, In fact it could be that causing the swelling or vice verser. There are so many things that could have caused it or go wrong after the fact. Why play with your life!!
