I agree. And I'm thinking that's the main reason the details are still in the works. The gals here are adored by us guys. We dont need to lose them. We love all the input from the women and love seeing their progression, as well as getting to learn a lot about women and AAS.
So I'm pretty confident the judging will be fair. There is a lot going on that we don't see, so I'm sure they are deliberating this in order to be fair to all, wether its certain divisions or classes. Its going to work.
And lunk....... hard staying away from this huh? Might as well take the leap man. You know you'll benefit from it more so than if not competing. Just say yes!
Humph... Amateurs...
LMFAO those are my intellectual but sexy glasses. They go with my smiley face boxers.Originally Posted by Lunk1

I don't think it should be co-ed. It doesn't matter how 'fair' the judges try to be. Girls against guys they will weigh in favour of the girls.
I am not against women in the contest just against vs them. I feel they are at a disadvantage competing against me
I dont mind it being co-ed i always let my gf win so it would be nice to beat a girl and not have to feel bad about it
Had quite a bit of sarcasm there :POriginally Posted by stpete
Not quite. Because my job is commission based and I need to build up my weekly earnings and things. Even if we could afford it immediately we decided to still move to save more money to set ourselves up for a better house later on.Originally Posted by Lunk1

Well said... In all seriousness, who cares about actually winning. Reason to improve moreOriginally Posted by warmouth
I def want personal improvement but I want to win lol
Wait a second.... I'm entering this with a bum knee.... I can barely hold up my own body weight without my knee giving out. I have a torn ACL and will have surgery during this contest. That being said; no excuses GGR.... you can enter with your injury still healing.... I've already accounted for that injury in your new routine I'm building.![]()
Girls will not be favored... They have to put in just as much work as everyone else... Saying they have an advantage is actually a bit insulting, if a lady took top spot it's like downplaying their hard work/effort.
^^^this. It's much harder for a female to either build muscle or burn fat. They are at a disadvantage from that point if view but I suspect those females entered will work harder than a number of the guys in the comp!Originally Posted by Knockout_Power

I don't know what's worse, looking yourself in the mirror after losing or the public announcement WHEN you lose. I think it's the afters cause that's when the mind games kick in. Don't get me wrong, not bein' up on that block can be embarrassing all on its own, but the head games.....
Its funny that "not winning" is often referred to as "losing"... Win or not (which isnt even in question for me) will still result in a very impressive physique come June 15... and the best thing about it is that I will be on tv a lot that week so I have even more motivation to look my best
You cant call it losing if you set yourself a goal and achive it. The recognition is nice but not the be all and end all.
I'm not saying they have an advantage in anyother way than they are women being judged by men here. There has never been a woman "put in here place" so to speak if they say something out of line of wrong. But if a guy does, then the thread turns on them and they are belittled. It just how we are as men. It doesn't bother me in the least competing against a woman because my goals are for me. I'm my biggest judge and I want a perfect score in my book.
The biggest problem I think there will be is some might get offended they don't place higher than they think they should. And a woman beating a man, who feels he deserved a higher ranking is just asking for trouble. I'm keeping the last comps competitors in mind here. Everything was great until they didn't get placed as high as they thought they should have.
I'm only wanting this one to go good without any setbacks or drama. I know that if this one turns south like the last one did, there wont be another competition here. So I'm trying to think ahead about any potential problems that may arise upon final weigh-ins.
completely understandable and I didnt mean to make it look like I was responding to anyone in particular... it does not matter that the majority of members are male and that they may lean towards a females physique... if one person shows obvious favoritism towards someone who doesnt meet the criteria (whenever it is set), then I think that person should forfeit their vote...
Personally, I dont care if DLB joins this competition or some bikini model or porn star... this has nothing to do with who has the Best body at the end of the competition, to me, its who made the best physique change...
I know Im not the one making the decisions on how this is to be run, judged or have points awarded, but I would make it as simple as the statement above.
Someone is always going to have a sore ass at the end of a competition because there is only one "winner"... so be it... if this is going to be a huge problem, then it may be best to not run it...
for those who want to use this as motivation and feel "winning" is just an added bonus, this is the perfect place to make it happen.
Another problem is giving people a say in how it will be run... someone will always be able to pick at the criteria, or question if it is fair... if we are allowed to do this, then a set of criteria will be outlined, and thats final... if it is not to a potential competitors liking, they have the chance to walk away...
I realize "parameters" of the last contest were changed after the start, but shit happens, you learn form it and move on... cant be sore about it to the point that it keeps us from having fun.
Personally, I like the idea of being judged by our group of peers and in this case, thats our competitors... whoever suggested the idea that each competitor gets 3 votes and cannot include themselves was on the right track...
I've only skimmed over the last couple pages to catch up, but it seems that there may be some who feel the women may have a disadvantage in a co-Ed comp.
I, for one feel it would be a privilege to compete against the female members. In fact, I feel quite intimidated competing against them as I've seen how determined, dedicated, and successful they have been.
