Agreed and hopefully his criminal history wasnt such that he is locked up. Ie probation violation etc. I have no idea of his past but if he is an alcoholic or an addict (same thing to me) he may have some history.
Anyway wishing and hoping for all the best CDP.
ps- Who knows maybe if he is locked up it will be the best thing that ever happened cause if he dealt with this the way he was dealing with things (ie drnking etc) it will/would only make things worse.
I have a friend Mike that will swear to this day that jail saved his life.

Also I will ad I have a friend that recently lost his life to the disease of addiction. He was clean for many years, relapsed and died that day. The guy had a heart of gold and I miss him. I hate the disease of addiction.

Since he said they drew blood from him against his will, it's very likely he's still in custody one way or another.

The only way they can draw blood against your will is if a doctor signs that you are either in a physical or mental position where you are unable to make an informed decision for yourself!

If he was only charged with DUI/OWI then they would not likely keep him in jail for this amount of time! He would have been afforded the oppurtunity to post bond and even if he were unable to do so...he would have likely had a bond review hearing by now that would lower the bond or even allow for a signiture release!

A likely scenerio is that he ended up in the hospital which is why blood was drawn in the first place as most LE prefer breath tests (some states do require blood or urine). He may have then been sent to a treatment facility directly from the hospital! It honestly too hard to speculate as a number of scenerios could have taken place!

Where I am I wanted to go to rehab and they told me I had to complete their assessment program which would have taken 3 months loll. The first appointment was like 2 months away, It can be terrible how they treat people who need help, it was summer too so basically they are saying hey if you are still alive in 3 months we'll help you. I am fortunate to be strong enough to over come it all without the help from them but I`m sure many need it.

CDP, we're pulling for you brother and I hope you get the help you need. I don't have any kind of tragic story to share; my life has been fairly uneventful, but nevertheless I can sympathize as my family has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, in fact I have a brother who is a heroin addict. Just remember that you're somebody who matters and I really hope you start treating yourself as such. We're pulling for you here, be strong.
