I either would have had to lie or tell the truth which probably would not have been good. So I didn't know what to do and time started going by so I'm like well now this is gonna be awkward no matter what I say back.

you really need to go back to counseling. Even if its just sex you need to be able to at least have a conversation.

and as far as people saying that you cant compliment women... thats not always the case. if you can play the "dick" role n pull it off that may be true, i used to do this frequently with girls at the bar, but it takes alot of confidence to pull off and you have to know who to do it to, only works on certain types of girls. Ya dont seem to be ready for that yet.
a well placed compliment will get you in, but you have to say it with confidence n dont over do it otherwhys u lost it. It lets them know your interested but doing it too much will make you look weak and being overly nice will move you to the friendzone
