Are there any downfalls to fasted training? I would prefer to train around 5:30am before work but the disadvantage I have is that I am not waking up at 4:30am just to eat. Can't and won't do it. It's been a bad week for me. I'm moving so I've only been to the gym once, Monday after work and I just did my cardio. Haven't been sleeping properly due to stress so waking up anytime before 7am is out of the question. Meals have been good, except yesterday, I missed quite a bit of food as I lost my appetite. Also this is my week where all that wonderful women stuff happens so I am bloated, bleh. Hoping that I'll be back to normal next week!
you already know training fasted is a bad idea, unless you are drinking bcaa through your work out.

yeah, you dont lose muscle mass if you are resistance training 3x + a week, but the tissue break done can be hard lifiting in a fasted state. so hard core peopel can take 5g before the gym and 10 g during the gym then eat like normal after.
just take 5 g while you work out and sip it over the duration of your work out. even a banana as you walk into the gym if they sell them is good too. better then drinking a carb drink
