There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I think You'll like this:
I miss deathcore bands that can take the worst aspects of humanity, and still manage to make them seem appealing.
Oh...wait...

Basically what it is. The vocalist lived in Minneapolis for years from what I understand, and was calling out the shit happening now last year, essentially. Not specifics mind you, but people finally losing their shit and starting to fuck shit up in response to systemic abuse of power.
not metal at all .. but think its relevant to the times
the founder and song writer of this band funded and helped start the Church I grew up in. also was close friends with the man who buried my mom and the other man who baptized me and my wife.
interesting how when your young in life its just a day to day thing and the daily grind .. but when you get older you seem to pause and think about things a little bit more

Edit: King Diamond was never one of my favorite vocalists, but I'm not much for vocals anyway....unless they're female. King D has almost always worked with some great guitarists, though.

As for female vocalists though, my god, Alissa stunned me from the first time I came across The Agonist, and she’s still killing it as Angela’s replacement in Arch Enemy. Being fuckoff hot doesn’t hurt either.

And another track from the same album that displayed a bit more of her diversity in capabilities.

Really a shame that the woman who replaced her in The Agonist when she went to AE is pretty terrible.
To be 100% fair though, she’s a better fit there, and AE is a much better band, musically. Their guitar and bass work has some very impressive interplay.

Check this chick out:
It’s definitely an age thing for me. Female singers conjure up memories of Janis Joplin & Fleetwood Mac. Great musicians & great voices though, won’t deny that. Kind of dug Debbie Harry in the 80’s as well. I’ve always liked a monstrous frontman with a powerful voice. When I went to my last metal fest in December, my friends and I loved looking at & comparing our favorite pieces of eye-candy at the bar or the beer tent, but didn’t want to see them on-stage.

LOL, it depends on where I'm am at that specific moment, Prox.
Even though they're not exactly young ladies anymore, the girls from Kittie will always be special to me.
Also, the gals from Konvent spice up my leg day.

not quite death metal , but emotionally seems like what we are all going through
Lamb of God was one of the openers at my first show in Springfield, VA back in 2000. Went to see Six Feet Under, but after getting my face blown off by Black Label and The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion, SFU just came off limp and boring.
I almost felt bad for the people who didn’t bother showing up to see the openers.

Yeap. They’re one of the original (and still only) successful attempts at combining death metal with stoner/sludge styling.
It was pretty amusing to watch Barnes get more and more baked as the show went on. By around halfway through the setlist, he was making goofy ass faces between growls, and you could see his movement getting more stunted.
