I had a normal not necessarily routine surgery but it was a hiatal hernia surgery a couple years back and the anesthesiologist poked a hole in my esophagus and I almost died. When they did the catheter I was still seriously drugged up due to them not wanting me to be awake or moving much and I swear that catheter was some of the worst pain I ever experienced. It pulled me out of whatever drugs they had me on and wide awake smh

LOL, true story here....when I was in pretty bad shape with the heart I had fired my stupid cardiologist and got in with a much more knowledgeable (and female) cardiologist that still had access to the current research coming out of M- USC.

Anyway I end up scheduled for the implantation of a bi-ventricular pacemaker. When the finally wheeled me into the prep room, I'm thinking I think I need to tap a kidney.

So........they kept loading me up with tranqs and sedatives during the implantation in an attempt to achieve "twilight sedation". Absolutely did not work, awake the whole time, by now I'm really needing to take a whiz from all the meds ( Versed, Fentanyl, and Dilaudid). I get to the recovery room and am confined to the bed for 12-16 hours post implantation.

I'm lying there with my bladder screaming and a pretty nurse that was originally from S. Africa comes in and I explain to her I'm about to create a flood. She brings me the bedside urinal jug thing and I ask for another. She says no one ever fills one up. I filled that f-in thing up and am hitting the call button for another. She comes running with one, sees the full jug sitting there and me biting my lip and mumbling...I gotta piss. ..I gotta piss!!!!

Ended up filling up the first jug and 3/4 of the second. She is standing there watching with her jaw hung open and in the typical British/ South African accent says "My God, you have a fucking balloon for a bladder".

I would of been like " you should see what else I can do with it "

Duff screwed himself with his photos.
Duff would have won both categories if he had posted photos I have seen.
I dont think he even threw on a pump for finals.

The guy is a new person.
His transformation is amazing.

All competitors did great but just had to say this.
Bulk was hard to judge especially because I love the three that were in it.

Yeah, this was definitely an issue for me. Gym pictures looked fantastic, but I was loaded with CitMal and had a stupid pump going. Photos for comp had to be taken rushed, in the am before work. Que sera sera.

Oh, absolutely, though it can be hard to tell within the confines of a comp duration, given that my training programming runs in 12-14 week cycles, depending upon whether deloads are needed or not.

For example, it’s pretty much impossible to compare my squatting 260 for 17 in the first week (higher volume), to squatting 415 for five in the last (higher intensity). Just two very different systems running there.

I definitely agree , but if you compare your max 5 rep working weights to the previous rotation's 5 rep max working weight, you increased...correct?

To me that is impressive because that is undeniably progress derived from hard work!!


Edit: Especially good work given it was within the time constraints of the contest!

Re: Your earlier comment about craptacular cell signal, mine sucks hind tit as well. I'm rural and kind of back off the road a piece and satellite radio fuzzes out when I coming up the drive.

I keep hoping Verizon will want to install a tower on my land. I'm sure we could come to some sort of equitable arrangement of terms.

Yea, I never do anything to prep myself for pics. If you look at the pics I post from the gym, I'm way more vascular than my comp pics. I dont even warm up or anything

Oh dang, man. Always try to capture a pic of your most awesome state in the best lighting.

I'm actually more of a strength event/ PL fan, but I do follow bodybuilding as well .. especially on YouTube and InstaG. The regional and top guys are always fiddling with their posing, which angle the light hitting them gives them the best view of striations of illusion of extra depth. It's an art form unto itself.
