Heat's Spoelstra fined $25K for comments about officiating

    Posted May 25 2012 5:46PM

NEW YORK -- Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra has been fined $25,000 for critical public comments about how the Miami/Indiana playoff series was being officiated, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President Basketball Operations.

Spoelstra's comments were made to the media following Miami's shootaround on Thursday, May 24.

    THE NERVE!

Guess they need to set the tone so the calls continue their way....UNBELIEVABLE!

    I agree Tiger,

The way boston is playing phili I don't think they could even hang with Miami and on top of that, of course phili couldn't keep up. As I'm typing this I still don't know who won game 7 lol. I'm afraid to see Miami to get to the finals because eventually, In all honesty, They will win it one year. Every year thought I will put as much heart and passion as I want to see LA win, put in the same amount for seeing the Heat lose.....Just how it goes.

Hahah, some drunkie karakoe or what fool? lol. I havn't done karaokee since my ship stopped in japan a year or so ago, those japanese bars are all about karaokee. I havn't even seen the results from game 7 dude, I've been with my girl all weekend and havn't even turned on the TV. But I wanted to write back on here before I checked. I was thinking about it earlier though, I really want Boston to take it, I want to see those old farts get it so bad, I love KG, Allen, and Pierce and I think it's Allen's last year for sure. I would love to see him retire after getting a ring rather then not getting one then getting traded next season then rotting on some scrub team as an old guy like Juwan Howard haha. Bout to turn my TV on right now....

No way, Parker just drained that shit to tie the game up, this shit is gettin me JAcKED! I can't stand OKC man, they have all these young trend homos who have no respect for the older players. Westbrook drives and pullsup, Durant drives and raws a foul, and Harden lowers his had on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. All these guys do the same thing, they're not diverse at all, I will puke if OKC gets to the finals....and right when I was typing this Parker just pulled a savage ass and 1, **** YOU OKC!!!

Durant is the only person who shows up in the last few mins. OKC is just a bunch of floppers and refs complainers, I can't stand this new era of bball it's so pathetic!

OKC will not beat the Spurs, after watching game 1, even know it's not even over, OKC just won't do it. OKC never adjust to anything, I've seen them play the same ball every game vs every team, they've done nothing to change there play style, they're to young and unexperienced. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. Spurs on the other hand can adjust to anybody and are on the top of there game, I call a 4-1 Spurs series, If not, a full blown sweep 4-0 Spurs, yea I said it mark my words fvckers!

HAHAHAHAH OKC is garbage. They're so predictable, all they do is have Durant throw up 3's when they're in trouble, they're playing exactly how they played LA, why would you not develop a different game plan? Dumbasses.

Hmmm, I can tell you who's cocks will be sucked by OKC, that would be Parker, Duncan, Ginobli. All in which have championship rings, something OKC has NEVER seen.

OKC fell apart? They're just young atheletic idiots, they have no experience or brains. They will not beat the Spurs. The only thing Durant can do now is chew on his mouthpiece hoping for a miracle like he chews on his mommies nipple. Maybe he didn't play good because he didn't get his pre-game kiss from his mommy lol.

There's more then the Spurs won by 3, OKC was throwing up prayers at the end and happen to hit them, Harden hit a 3 at the buzzer to make OKC lose by 3. OKC was out played in the 4th in every aspect of the game, they have a lot of homework to do before next game because clearly they couldn't handle the Spurs how they played tonight. If they can adjust and beat the Spurs then by all means I will tip my hat and give them the credit, but it wont happen.

What game where you watching, the spurs came alive on the end of the 3rd quarter and at one point down by 11 ?

Okc just went thru Mavericks and the lakers and will plow thru the spurs..

On another note, okc makes those 3's all day, Westbrook and harden where off there game.. I suspect to see a different okc on Tuesdays..

I'm like you, if okc gets blown out I have no problem tipping my hat to the spurs..

I agree that OKC went through some good teams and played good bball. They are the fastest paced team and top in transition bball in the entire league and can take down anybody who is not ready for them. They have a ton of weapons and talent and they're all young. I think LA exposed there game completely and I'm sure the Spurs were sitting around watching. If you can manage to slow down OKC and play halfcourt bball then OKC is pretty much screwed, they're not good with plays or pick and rolls, they're all about transition. Slow down the game and you beat OKC. I have yet to see OKC play any different type of ball besides fast paced and transition, I havn't even seen OKC adjust to any different type of team, not like they need to since they keep winning, but playing the Spurs, adjustments need to be made if they want to make it to the next level. The 3 on the Spurs have been around for a long long time and it's going to take a lot to overcome those guys, they're hungry. Will see how OKC does once the Spurs come to there court, after tonight though I just felt like Spurs executed and capitalized when it was most important and that's what wins championships.

Not to get off topic but LA had no preseason camp which would have benefit them greatly after having the zenmaster himself left LA. Possibly the greatest NBA coach of all time. In addition Kobe had no original old faces to help him out thru the post-season besides Gasol who was pretty much non-existint and they still manage to make it that far and put up a fight agaisnt OKC. Give LA another year or two and Kobe will get another ring to add to his collection. In Kobe's own words "Anybody who thinks we are not a playoff contentender go ahead and put your house on that, hand me your keys right now. Of course none of you will thought because you're not stupid, maybe foolish, but not stupid." I loved that quote.

I can talk about sports forever man haha. Look forward to the OKC/Spurs series to, don't put it all on age, Spurs have Papavich and some legends, I think they'll prevail. Who knows though? Will find out.

On the other note, GO BOSTON!

Hahaha I feel you, I would still test my boundaries lol. I was laughing because they were clowning on Kevin Durants nerd look, they were like why does he wear that haha. Barkley was like "I would hate to see what he didn't buy haha". Just watched this video they put together for KG/Allen/Pierce, I love the way espn makes movies. Allen is pretty much done after this year, they say KG will probably return and Pierce is on the fence.

They need to chill out on some of these stories though, they try and build more and more drama it's starting to get corny lol.

Dang man the Heat are comin out hot this first quarter. Rondo seems flustered, he's playing sloppy and he's going to be the key guy in this series.

The fcvcked up.refereeing has a lot.to.do.with why but Boston shooting sucks as well...beginning of game garnett gets a perfect lib by the rim..MISSES! Allen still struggling, Rondo is on something cuz he will b close enough to FVCKING dunk and sling it the FVCK out to the perimeter..FVCKING bass is what 15%,
But still the only thing that separates these teams is the poor refereeing

Boston is giving them some good ol zone defense lol. I think they should have incorporated the zone defense from the start of the game, That's exactly how Dallas beat Miami in the finals last year.
