Bleeding like a stuck pig !!!

I just got a shipment of new pins but I bought a brand other than B&D that I had previously had. Today, I bled like a stuck pig ont the first inj and of course, used a new pin for inj #2. Again, I bled like I had jabbed a pencil in my leg. Is this normal of off brand pins? Also, the tip seemed dull because it had a hard time breaking through the skin. That hurt worse than shoving 1cc into my leg.
Any coments form the great experienced ones?

Even BD has different types of pinz. Some very sharp, some not so sharp.

    From their site.

Well IMO you should take one out and look at it. If it does not have a sharp end then get rid of them or give them away or deal with the pain until you can replace them. You can have a bleeder with any gauge or sharp syringe. You could have hit a blood vessel both times.

You can't tell how sharp a pin is by looking @ it. That'd be like looking @ a razor blade to see how sharp it is......c'mon mann

There is a distict difference between the sharpness of the needles that Sv-1 posted. If you cannot tell then maybe you should do a little more homework. Peace

The ones I got came from GTPZ as well. Thanks for the info. Glad to hear I am not the only one having issues with this other brand. I think I will go ahead and order new BD's today.

yeah i used BD pins today for shoulder injections. both injections resulted in blood spraying out all over my bathroom. when i say spraying i mean spraying a good 6 inches. both were in places ive injected before so i highly doubt it was a blood vessel.

my guess was it could be from swelling from yesterdays winny\prop injections in my shoulders.
