    Swelling and bruising on deltoid

I did my first injection in my delts on Monday. Yesterday I got a huge bruise with a larger amount of swelling around where I did the injection. I've done many injections before, so I wasn't going into it with a blind eye. Any ideas what happened and how to make the swelling and pain go away?

I mentioned this before in a few threads, but did you sanitize BOTH the top of the vile and your injection spot with an Alchohol Pad?

Went to the doctor. I got cellulitus (sp?). I got some meds for it.

Cellulitus would be unlikely. However, I would not put heat on the swelling. Heat promotes circulation which can aggravate the area. Ice would be your best bet to treat inflammation. I had a condition like this a week or so ago. Could be due to an oil buildup as well (to many injections in the same place without rotation).
