i've never been big into squats, and have recently realized thats a very important part of my workout, i just started doing deadlifts (yesterday) and have been doing the cybex leg press.. my problem is that squats hurt my lower back (a little) and dont feel good on my knees at all.. it feels too awkward and almost like its bad on my joints rather than my muscles. nothing to do with age cuz im young enough.
Any advice on this? and my leg day is the day after my back day, so im doing deads on mon and squats on tues.. this could be a problem on my lower back?
would a lifting belt help at all? i've heard mixed info on this that it is actually worse on you.
