i am about to go to court so i can see my children...but my babys mom is a very evil bltch because i dumped her over a year ago and i got a new girlfriend so she wont let me see my kids....if she brings it up in court that i have used steroids do you think they will test me for roids? and how much would it cost them to test me for them? i have heard it costs alot of money so they probably wont test me....

i have used deca....so it will still be in my system for another 10 months.

You are going to CIVIL court. So most likely they will not be worried about anything CRIMINAL.

Her claim will be this... You take(took) roids. Roids are illegal. Thus you are a criminal and therefor unfit to see your kid.

It is a character battle! I assume you have an attorney! This is NOT something to cheap out on! Take your gear money and go pay for an attorney ASAP if you don't have one already!!

He can help you through this process. He might have you deny it, might have you admit to past use and explain how it was a cycle of steroids, and not crack, or use some other method. But bottom line is your kid!

They won't test you, if she talks about it just deny it. Say that she is just making things up because you have a new girlfriend and she is feeling hurt. The problem shouldn't be turned over to you, just say that you are there to take care of the baby issues.

1) Like I said before, you are going to CIVIL court (I don't care where or what court... its still a civil issue).

2) Lying about taking AAS will likely make you look like and ASS. I bet she's seen plenty to describe what you were doing... and sound like she's telling the truth. This will just make you look worse, IMO.

3) Going to court for child support it a totally and seperate issue from visitation.

4) Why aren't you already paying child support?? You think diapers and formula are free??

Sorry, but damn guy, if you are going for visitation and she's being a b*tch, thats one thing. But if you are going for SUPPORT... PAY UP DUDE! Ditch the gear, get a second job, and pay for the kid! Dude let me tell you from experience, they can only get you for back child suppost from and only from the time she put in that petition. period thats it. i've been there. now as far as she telling the judge about you using AAS. 1. the judge is not trying to hear that, thats for another court. 2. she has no proof. my kids mom tried to bring up real estate issues and the judge told her your in the wrong court, lol. if by some long shot the judge ask you about the AAS use, I'd just say she is trying to discredit me. or lie on the bitch and tell the judge she has used cocaine in the pass but thats not what I'm here for, your not here to make her look bad. lol. If you have any receipts bring them and dude try and get a lawyer.

I am going through the same shit... good luck with that...right down to the part about the girl lying to the state to get aid.... My kid and her even lived in a residence that was in my name and I paid all the bills... Now I have a new girlfriend and she is trying to screw me for back support, etc.

Agreed, if she tries to play the drug card and the judge doesn't squash it...say she smoked a joint last 4th of July and did a couple lines of coke on New Years. The accusations are irrelevant and in family court battles the judge has seen and heard it all by now.

Couple of things... As far as back child support; the statute is different depending on what state you live in. In some states, they can go born back to the day the child was born for back child support. In other states, they can go back two year. It just depends on where you live.

And as far as getting a lawyer appointed to you.... "good luck". If it is a civil matter you will not have a lawyer appointed to you by the state. If you are being prosecuted for a criminal offense (criminal non-support) , you have the right to have an attorney appointed to you, but you must be able to prove "indegint" status. (at least in my state). That decision is made by the judge. Good luck. The system is really set up against you.

The Sixth Amendment right to counsel applies ONLY to criminal trials/ not domestic custody suits in civil court. You will not have one appointed to represent you in a civil matter.
