You need to take two IDs; driving license and either college or work ID. Don't use fake IDs as they confirm whether the IDs you provided are legit and it may get you in a serious trouble! And to answer your last question, yes, it becomes active immediately.
Finally, any parcel addressed to your address with a different name will be returned to sender!

Yes, your name on the parcels must be the same as on your IDs. When you fill the application they will let you sign a letter stating that only you and your spouse can receive parcels/letters to that address and any other parcel/letter with a different name will not be accepted!

Also, be aware that workers at the mail offices will report any suspicious activities to FEDs so don't try to play around.

what kind of suspicious activities, like 2 packages a week?

Yea, like 2 similar packages a week from the same source for 3 or 4 months.

hmm i dont think that should be a problem haha i jsut opened the box im getting something from source and chem site, than the week after il get some again from the source and thats it for the time being
