    Anyone ever Kiteboard?

    ya so i've been surfin for a good 13 years now and i've been startin to notice that kiteboarding has really blown up lately, anyone here tried this before?? it looks like a lot of fun, but extremely hard. i think im gonna try it this summer....

    Nah, but I think it's funny when those guys practice using their kites on the beach and get launched into a lifeguard stand!

    I windsurf myself and have been thinking of giving kitesurfing a try. It looks fun. More and more people are doing it every year around here.

    holy crap, guess i won't be kiteboarding this summer then..damn, maybe i can rent one or something.

    it's expensive but you should be able to start finding used gear now. It's been around for a few years now.
    Try ebay or something.

    You also have to choose the correct size kite. Many true kiteboarders may have up to 10 different kites all used for different wind speeds.

    It would be impossibile to use a large kite on a really windy day and visa versa.
