    This is yet another example of beaurecrats trying to get re-elected by getting "TOUGH ON (Insert Various Pathetic Crime Here)"...They need something to show for their time in office, so they pick a crime and make a ridiculous sentence for it. Even when all research data shows that stiffer penalties usually dont deter criminals. Not to mention, Im sure this is just the result of the music&film industry lobbying millions of dollars in Washington DC to get this bullshit pushed through. Why do some politicans spend MILLIONS of dollars on campaigning for things like Congress, for a job that pays $155,000 a year? Because it equates to power, power to protect their own interests and other millionaires like them. I could go on for hours but Ill leave it at this and see what others have to say...

    That's why I don't like USA, you are to much into punishment for everything, just so the fat companys can keep pumping in their cash. It is so annoying, they could just lower the prices, but noooo, we want it all, and if you don't obey, we send you to jail.

    If they want people to stop downloading shit, ****ing lower the prices, 20-30 bucks for a cd, those are crack prices, people are gonna be suckin dick for cds soon, its the same thing with cigarettes, they want people to quit, but holy **** a thing of nicorette is 25 bucks for 7 patches, what kind of bullshit is that, "id quit smokin but shit, i can afford it". Same with people who want to eat healthy, junk food is real cheap but then all the healthy stuff is so goddamn expensive and they wonder why everyone is a fat ass these days
