no need for cholesterol in diet?

i had thought for quite some time a moderate amount of cholesterol in the diet was good as cholesterol plays a necessary role in test production. however, upon recent research, i've found information saying cholesterol is completely unecessary in the diet as our bodies easily produce whatever amounts they need themselves? does this apply to us bb's as well? the only daily intake of cholesterol that i really have right now is one egg yolk a day, but if it's unecessary, i'd rather drop it and attempt to keep a healthier cholesterol level, so long as it won't negatively affect my test levels.

From what I have read, blood cholesterol comes from the food we eat and is also manufactured in our livers.

I cant remember correctly but the liver is triggered into making more cholesterol from high insulin or high blood sugar.

yea, i'm up to that point, i'm just not sure if your liver can produce enough cholesterol for us bb's to keep our test levels up adequately enough without extra cholesterol intake.

My guess would be that dietary cholesterol has no real impact whatsoever, Neither negative or positive. So dont worry. Dont ditch that yolk though because it contains plenty of healthy stuff.

Lack of or to much fats probably has a bigger impact on both test levels and blood cholesterol(when it comes to blood cholesterol GI plays a big role aswell).
