    Need to drop about 5lbs, critique.

    I just need to drop 5lbs but I do want it to be fat if possible. I am 5'10 188 maybe 11%bf.

    Cardio first thing 45 min with BCAA and a thermo, multi

    Meal 1: 30g complex carb, oats, bro rice, etc...
    30g protein, chicken,egg whites etc...
    3g fat from the chicken
    Cals=260

    Meal 2: 30g protein from steak
    10g fat from steak
    0g carbs, handful of greens
    Cals=210
    Meal 3: 40g carbs DEX
    40g protein, whey
    Obviously my PWO
    Cals=320

    Meal 4: 30g complex carbs, oats, rice, etc....
    30g protein, chicken
    3g fat, chicken
    Cals=260

    Meal 5: 30g protein, steak, chicken etc...
    10g fat, steak, almonds, natty PB, etc.....
    Cals=210

    Meal 6: 30g Protein, whey
    14g fat, 1tbsp flax
    Cals=245
    BEDTIME
    Totals: Protein=190g
    Carbs=100g
    Fat=40g
    Total Cals=1520

    Will this be sufficient to hold most of my muscle and still cut some fat?

    Just depends if you can go that low with your carbs. I could never do that as I would have NO energy and would lose muscle...I've tried that approach and lost a lot of water/muscle.

    Have you tried upping your cals? I would start out by reducing your maintenace cals by 20% and stick to that for a couple weeks and re-evaluate by reducing the cals a bit more. Just suddenly dropping them that low will result in a lot of muscle loss. Your a pretty good sized guy.....btw, why aren't you bulking?? your 11% BF? IMO, I would bulking into the 200's and cut towards summer time.

    Well I was at 195 with about 13-14%bf, so I am just now getting down to the point were its leveling off. I guess I should have mentioned that, my fault guys. So I have been dropping the cals from 3000 down. Its just I have hit a stopping point and I have been afraid to go lower than 2200, but I just haven't seen the results.

    hmmm, I would NEVER go that low but that's me. Bro, I was cutting (losing fat/gaining a little muscle) on about 600 cals less than maintenance. Rethink your whole approach or you will be losing lots of muscle.

    usually just drop cals 500-700 below maintain. and up cardio days to 6 or 7 a week.
