Possible new job

How many of you guys (professionalls especially) have been offered and taken a new job when you were employed? I am a professional and I was approched this week by another firm who wants to hire me. They are offering me about a $10,000 salary increase. I think I would really like the new job, but my current office has no idea that I may be leaving. My current office is going to be hella furious if I leave. Its really wierd working now knowing that I probably won't be here in a month, but still setting up future appointments, meetings, etc.

I have some loyalty issue and feel bad about leaving my current job but the new offer is just too good to pass up.

This girl wears like schoolgirl skirts and kneehighs to work too. It's just amazing.

On the down side, the new job is in the same office building as my current one(its a large building) and even on the same set of elevators so I would continue to see everyone I work with now. But the new office is on the 42 floor and my current office in only on the 9th floor so its a better view.

Either way you should leave your present job on good terms because you never know what can happen and maybe one day you could end up back there. Definately go for the new job if it pays better and you think you have a brighter future there. Beleive me there is nothing wrong with having bad feelings and loyalty issues because you are leaving, it just means you put alot of effort into your work and are a good employee. What company wouldn't want someone who cares about their business. Good luck whatever you choose!

Just tell them whats the deal, and if they can't match or beat the other's salary, then give your 2 weeks, and adios...here I come extra cash and hot bitches!

expet the bodybuilders here, i no you guys dont get paid shit, which is really crappy but still.

I would confront your boss in this manner. Explain to him that currently your wage just isn't letting you live your life comfortably and fortunately another firm has offered to hire me with a 20,000 pay increase. Say that you love working for him now but an increase in wage that can put me in a comfortable living position is hard to pass up. Either the boss will give you the 20,000 or maybe even 15,000 and you can end up working in the same place with more tenure and more pay.....or if he decides not to match it you can move on to the new place with the increase in wage and slamming whorish secretary...your choice bro.
