If I want to put on mostly lean muscle how many calories should I take in a day?
Would say if I were to take in an extra 1000 cal a day I would gain 2 pounds a week, would ot be mostly lean?

u'd gain alot of fat off a 1kCal excess intake.. lol

It really depends on your weight and bf%.
yeah but 3600 cals are in 1lb of fat.. 1k cal .. excess ED .. i see some chub starting to form..anyways most people start at 500kCal daily excess and gradually increase intake as their gains start commin onOriginally Posted by testisbest
I add 500 more cals a day for the first couple of weeks then raise them or lower them as needed.
