hard area under injection site

i injected in my glute yesterday and today when i feel around the spot it feels like the area underneath the skin is all hard and it is sore. its not exactly a lump but just hard and a little swolen. is this normal? or is this a symptom of not injecting deep enough?

You should be fine rub it out, it will help spread it out and ease the pain. There is a thread a few posts down

how long is the needle? Your glute is a mass muscle area its the hardest site to miss the muscle unless you are extremely obese

is there supposed to be a pinch or sensation once you enter the muscle? cuz i feel the initial pinch of course once i enter the skin but after i push the entire needle in i still dont feel another pinch.

No, after you break skin you shouldnt feel anything unless you hit a nerve. Make sure you asperate every time you inject to make sure you are not injecting into a vain. Every now and then you can get a lump in the site just rub it out and you will be fine. If the site is swelling, red, hot to the touch, pussing or itching it is possibly infected and you will need to seek a doc for antibiotics or he will have to eventually cut the infection out of your muscle. So make sure the needle is always clean. And use the full 1 1/2 inches of the needle
