how do you guys manage to find gyms with heavy dumbells?(140 plus)

ok, ive been lifting at home for a while. i have the basics, a powerrack, 600 pounds of weights, heavy duty bench coc grippers etc. i have always made the most progress on dumbell work however. my dumbells at home only go to about 115(plate loaded) and i want to be able to work my way up to 150s. i know most gyms dont go past 100s or 120s, but i know that some gyms go up to 200s. any advice on what you guys have done to find gyms with heavy dumbells.?

i live in central nj also.

seriously, though, there are hardcore gym registry sites.

Google it...you'll find a decent gym

I would get a cardboard sign and stand in a busy intersection with 140lbs dumb bells or broke on the front..

and on the back I would put I am gay and will fuvk for food..

this should help you find what you need.

I use cynder blocks like Marky Mark.

It might be worth it to just buy a set....if you are joining a gym just for the purpose of growing out of your home weight.

You could look up the phone numbers of all of the local gyms and call them.

meh, once you get past 100 pound dumbells, it can cost like 4000 dollars just for 100-150s. i can only press 120s around once, but id be willing to join a hardcore gym for like 30 dollars a month to use 150s and up. at my house the 115s i use are dangerous ( i slam on olympic plates onto my standard handle because their tinner, and ijust fit them on LOL. im always scared itll fall on my face.

theres a gym i will start going to on fridays (NYSC) for free b/c i have a friend who works their. just wish i could get the gym to buy like 130s or something idfi i ever need them...seeing as im not gonna be a paying member idoubt this will happen!!!!! lols.

I've picked up 2 sets of olypic DB handles from Craigslist and have a set of Powerblocks. I haven't used the Olympics yet, and need to get more smaller plates for it.
