I was wondering what your guys opinion on a good post workout supplement would be?

Whey Protein
5g Creatine Monohydrate
Protein.
BCAAs intra, whey iso + cm 1/2 hour later.
10g BCAA's
10g Leucine
5g Creatine Mono
5g Beta-Alanine
1g VitC
3g Ome ga-3.
(My + clients PWO shake)
OR 50/50% mix of Whey and Casein.
i like using cell tech then protein 15-30 minutes later
16 oz. chicken breast + sweet potato
oreos
alright so a shake consisting of
10g BCAA's
10g Leucine
10g glutamine
would be better than a whey/casein shake PWO
cheers, i was just wondering because i had just read Pinnacle's thread stating that whey was no good.
alright cheers.
i think ill add
10g BCAA
10g Leucine
to my pwo shake (of whey/casein) because taking bcaa and leucine alone would taste rank
whey protein and either oats or fish oil depending on your goals then 30-45 min later continue with your meals.....
jmo...
I think any one of the major weight gainers(cyto, monster mass, real mass) with an added 5 grams of Creatine mono is a pretty good choice for most people. Its easy, taste good enough, and gets the job done.
Yeah, I also add oats or a bannana, depending on what I'm doing (bulking/cutting) or time of day.
With oats, thats my AM shake.
5g is what I have always taken of BA. To be honest, I dont like the tingly feeling it gives me. Some use 5-10g BA. 3-5g is enough for me.
Your on 4g, give or take a gram, thats fine IMHO.
2:1:1 Recovery..i forget who makes it, but stuff works well..
Thank you sir!
I have one more question for you if you don't mind. I have been taking vit c 2g in the morn, 1g pre workout, and 3g pwo I have also been taking 2 lipo 6 fatburner pills in the morn. Do you think I am suppressing to much cortisol? I thought I read that suppressing to much cortisol is bad.
Too much cortisol is bad as it is too little. I dont like going over 4g of vit-c even when on Pct. You need cortisol to help with inflamation and other important bodily functions. Suppressed cortisol for long periods of time can lead to Addisson's Disease. Swifto should be able to help more on this aspect as he's a big advocate of vit-c for cortisol suppression. I've actually learned a lot from him and to this day he's always been on cue when it comes to suggestions and recomendation. He might take a while to replay. Prob still getting over the hangover seeing how ManU went 0-0 yesterday. Lol. Jk.
It can be, yes. Cortisol is very important for thyroid function. Its also used for gluconeogenesis, immune response, anti-inflamitory actions, blood pressure, CNS activation and heart/blood vessel tone contraction. Without it, you wouldnt be alive.
I dont know about the supps. your taking and their effects on cortisol.
6g/ED is a little on the large size IMHO.
1g in the AM, 1g pre-WO, 1-2g's PWO is what I do.

Thank you for that insight, I found it really helpful. Yeah Swifto is the man...he has a wealth of knowledge. I learn something from about everyone of his posts.
I will cut the vit c back...I guess I never cut it back after this past PCT so I'm sure I was overduing it. Thanks for the help!
