Is NFL QB Jay Cutler a wussy?

Wow this guy is getting slammed in the media for leaving the game with a spraned MCL. Is he a weak body?
Philip Rivers played an entire game on a torn ACL.
Brett Favre played an entire season with a broken thumb and won the NFL MVP award for that year also.
Ronnie Lott amputated his own finger to be able to play in the Super Bowl.

So yeah he is a huge wuss!

There's gotta be something more to this that they aren't telling because you can play with a sprained MCL. Granted the pain can be pretty severe, but that's what the needle is for at halftime.

I think he was benched or either he knew he was ineffective and used the injury as an excuse to try and get out of the loss.

His attitude on the sidelines was awful, like he didn't care. No doubt he was hurt, but he was one half from the Superbowl, should have gone back in.

I agree. These guys get paid millions to perform and a sprain is nothing. Aslo I tried editing the thread title but it only changed it on the first post.

You better have alot bigger injury than that to step out of a NFC championship game is all I can say...

He for sure has a horrible attitude. I was pretty surprised he came out of the game.

I spraned my mcl in the first qtr of a game once and it hurt like heck but played the whole game...missed the next week per the dr's request but probably could've played. Philip Rivers playing an entire game on a torn ACL, I haven't heard that but geez that's beast mode! One of the toughest guys on my team blew his ACL and had to be carted off and missed the rest of the season...it's a bad deal and PR is a bad man if he did that. With all of that being said, a friend played on JC's Vandy team with him and said he's a tough cat...I saw my boy rip his head off in an SEC game and I didn't think he'd get up but he did and played great. Sometimes I think when tons of money are at stake and some guys lay down at the risk of complicating an injury. Go watch a h.s. game...you rarely see a stoppage of play for an injury...college a little more, pros(yes they're 250lb buys that run like WR's) more so. About every game you watch you'll see someone come out of the game with a stinger...I can't tell you how many times I went to the line with my arm numb and had to swing it to get in my stance. Money/losing starting position by possibly further complicating an injury will cause you to be overly cautious I guess.
