    Italy

Im highly considering on planning a trip to Italy in August. Was thinking about staying in Rome, I was reading so far that it is dead in August, and thats what I want is a peaceful experience to just sight see without alot of tourists but with a little nightlife

Anyone have any suggestions on going to Italy?

    Thanks!

yes, Rome is the right choice and Tourism is located only in the city center
better to stay at some nice suburbs, on a farm ...

    Rome....Florence...Bologna...Pisa...I've been all around.

But..Rome is certainly a place..and Venice is a must!!! People north are different from those south. Rome is no different than any other overpopulated city. Keep that in mind.

I have a cuzn there studying art. She cracks me up. She says nothing is where you expect it to be.... the drug store has no tylenol, you have to go to the stationary store for that. The stationary store didn't have any pens, you had to go to the floral shop for that. She wanted to get a greeting card to send her mom, but the floral shop didn't have that, she had to go back to the drug store.
