    stretching before or after cardio

I lift 30-40 minutes followed by 45 minutes of moderate cardio on the spin bike. I like to stretch my legs at the end of a workout to prevent muscle cramps and to aid recovery.

Do i stretch after lifting before cardio? or at the very end of the training session?

I would do a light stretch at the beginning and end of cardio. When stretching before you need to get some blood flow with a light warmup since muscle stretching should not be done on cold muscles.

I stretch before my workout, then hit the treadmill just for a few minutes to warm up.

No need on this occasion, your leg workout is your 'dynamic' stretching. If you hadn't trained legs then it's your call, either some 'dynamic' stretching (bodyweight squats, leg swings etc) or warm up on your bit of kit. Just don't do static stretches on cold muscles!

    Static stretch after your cardio.

Agree! PWO stretching can help release built up lattic acid which will help w/ muscle soreness
