Thumbs up Go TEXAS! Fastest growing state!

Texas has 4 of the top 10 fastest growing cities. Love this state.

Texas once again dominates Forbes' list of America's Fastest-Growing Cities, as the Lone Star State capitalized on low taxes and cheap real estate to draw in jobs from the rest of the country. To construct this list, we pulled data from Moody's Analytics on the 100 largest metropolitan areas, giving extra weight to projected economic growth and subtracting points for low median incomes and high unemployment rates. The result is a list of cities that aren't just growing, but creating opportunities.

I've been to Austin, Dallas, and College Station (to visit friends at A&M). No offense to any Texans because I definitely met some honest and truly nice people down there, but I was pretty bored. I actually went to Austin thinking I might like to live there after grad school but it just wasn't for me. The pace is just too slow. I decided to stay in NY and relocate to NYC. I get that big cities (especially this one) are not for everyone, but I just can't deal with the lack of options in small cities and towns.

Some parts of TX are real cool.

Huge difference between El Paso to San Antonio or Corpus Christi.

I thought Texas was a giant waste land until I hit the coast side on the way to Miami a few years back.

I Love TX. Although I do believe thta Dallas is the anus of the state....I hate Dallas. Austin was fun until it began getting quickly crowded about 3 years ago. Now too many random acts of violence especially on 6th st. Houston was fun until the lot of losers from LA moved there after the Hurricane, then crime nearly tripled.
