How essential is consuming proteins with every snack if you want to lose fat and add lbm?
So basically if I just grabbed a 1/4 cup of raisins I just wasted my time?

"just grabbing" 1/4 cup of raisins isn't conducive to a regimented diet plan which is essential for somebody looking to make big changes in body composition.
For me, protein in every meal. Call it a meal, call it a snack, whatever - but there is always a lean protein source. Eating a 1/4 cup of raisins will do nothing but load your bloodstream with sugar and spike insulin. Eating protein in addition would blunt this to a small degree... and at least provide some usefulness of the insulin spike.
